There is a major legal crisis under the management of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). The Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI) decided to appoint Giovanni Malago as a “trustee” to its federation due to allegations of irregularities in the federation’s general assembly process.
The reason behind the decision lies in the fact that Malago was not a member of the federation during the general assembly in which he was elected president, and this situation brought the legal validity of the general assembly into question. This administrative crisis caused a critical period in the administrative structure of Italian football.
