New Permit and Fee Regulation for Foreign Digital Accommodation Platforms

The Turkish Grand National Assembly Commission accepted the new bill regulating the activities of foreign digital accommodation platforms in Türkiye. Within the scope of the regulation, it will be mandatory for these platforms to obtain an official permit from the Ministry of Culture and Tourism in order to continue providing services in the country.

According to the new legal regulation, platforms that will receive a permit will have to pay a fee of 5 million TL. While it is envisaged that the document fee in question will be updated and re-determined every year, this step is expected to increase the audit and registration rate in the sector.
