The huge difference between the cost of a patson sandwich made up of simple ingredients and the selling price fell like a bomb. According to the calculations, it was determined that the total cost of the product consisting only of bread, potatoes and sauces was 22.50 TL, while the sales price in some kiosks increased up to 340 TL.

When the cost items of the product are examined, it is seen that 4-5 TL is spent for sandwich bread, 13.50 TL for 150 grams of potatoes, 2 TL for sunflower oil and 3 TL for sauces. This exorbitant price difference, which attracted the reaction of consumers, has reopened the question of pricing policies in the food sector.
