The Ministry of Commerce took action against manipulative practices that mislead consumers on food ordering platforms. Administrative sanctions were imposed on two companies that, despite owning a single restaurant, gained an unfair advantage by creating the impression that there were many different businesses on digital media.
It was determined that the companies in question created fake restaurant profiles in order to manage order perception. The Ministry stated that it will continue to resolutely inspect such practices that prevent consumers from accessing accurate information and are contrary to the principles of commercial honesty.
