Legendary Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez shared the biggest source of motivation underlying his career that left its mark on world football history. The star player, who aimed to play at the highest level of European football in order to be with Sofia, whom he fell in love with when he was only 15 years old, shaped his professional life with this passion.
The duo’s paths crossed when Suárez was transferred to the Dutch team Groningen in 2006. The couple, who got married in 2009 and has been together since then, has three children from this marriage.
