Russia to Produce Air Balloons to Protect Energy Facilities

Russia is developing a new defense strategy to thwart kamikaze drone attacks targeting its energy infrastructure. Within the scope of the planned project, it is aimed to use special air balloons carrying cable barriers around critical facilities.

With this method, it is aimed to physically prevent the drones from approaching the facilities. This move, which aims to increase the security of strategic points such as power plants and fuel tanks, aims to create a new layer of defense against asymmetrical threats on the battlefield.
