The Difference Between Retirement Salaries and Cost of Living Opens

According to the data shared by the All Pensioners’ Union, the monthly compulsory living cost of a two-person pensioner family increased to 37 thousand 63 TL. While the monthly difference between the lowest pension and basic expenses was recorded as 13 thousand 511 TL, this revealed a serious decrease in the purchasing power of pensioners.

Economic data show that in the first nine months of the year, the difference between salary and expenses turned into a huge deficit of 106,813 TL. The inadequacy of existing salaries in the face of rising living costs proves that there is an economic bottleneck for the retired.
